The live-session workflow
A session flow that reacts as the SLP works.
Nova keeps the plan, activity, notes, and next steps together, so the clinician is not rebuilding the story after the child leaves.
Before the session
Get Ready
Open the child's profile, check the goals, and choose what you want to use.
Session output
You start with a clear plan.
Why Nova exists
The clinical layer between practice admin and therapy materials.
SLPs already have tools for billing, materials, and data. Nova focuses on the session layer where those pieces need to work together.
More than a materials library
Materials matter, but Nova connects them to the child, the session, the trial data, and the next step.
More than a progress tracker
Data collection is useful only if it fits the live therapy moment. Nova is built around the session itself.
Not a full EHR replacement
Practice management tools handle admin. Nova focuses on the pediatric SLP clinical layer: plan, play, evidence, and documentation support.

Built around SLP work
Every feature earns its place in the session.
Materials are not isolated downloads. Games are not isolated entertainment. Drafts are not detached from evidence. Each piece feeds the next one.
Minimal child intake
Start with display names and practical clinical context instead of collecting unnecessary PII.
Consent-aware audio
Recording is assistive, private, and built around review and retention limits.
SLP-owned output
Drafts support clinical work; they do not replace judgment, review, or final wording.
Before session
Session prep that starts from the child
Nova keeps the working context close: goals, supports, carryover, and suggested materials are ready before the visit starts.
Lightweight child profiles
Carryover from recent sessions
Goal-aware material suggestions
During session
Therapy activities that create evidence
Games and printables are not isolated entertainment. They connect back to goals and save usable session data.
Goal-linked games
Target, accuracy, prompt level, and notes
Material usage tracking
After session
Documentation from the same session
Trials, notes, audio context, and clinical observations can feed an editable draft the SLP reviews and owns.
Audio note support
Clinician-reviewed drafts
Caregiver talking points and carryover
Evidence to documentation
Less reconstruction when the session ends.
The platform keeps the clinical thread visible: what was planned, what happened, what evidence was captured, what still needs review, and what should continue next.
Session state
Close-out needed
Next steps stay visible.
Trial evidence
Goal-linked
Targets, accuracy, support level, and notes.

FAQ
Clear boundaries for clinical work.
Is SLP Nova a game app or a report writer?
Neither by itself. The product is a connected SLP workflow: child profile, planning, materials, goal-linked activities, trials, audio context, clinician-owned drafts, and carryover.
Is this meant to replace my EHR?
No. SLP Nova is focused on the pediatric therapy session layer. It can sit beside practice-management tools while helping with planning, activities, evidence capture, and clinician-reviewed documentation support.
Who is it for right now?
SLP Nova is focused on pediatric SLPs, independent clinicians, and small private-practice workflows. It is not positioned as a full enterprise clinic system yet.
Does the software make clinical decisions?
No. Audio notes and drafting are assistive. The clinician reviews voices, edits the draft, and remains responsible for clinical interpretation.
Do I need to enter sensitive child data to start?
No. A display name, optional birth year, goals, and clinical context are enough to start the workflow.
How much setup does it take before a session?
SLP Nova is designed to start lightweight: add a child profile, choose goals or carryover, attach materials, and run the session. The value should come from connected context over time, not from a long setup process on day one.
